Those times in life that we know will shape us are meant to be shared. MaryElizabeth Gifts celebrate a woman during those times when she may feel both loved and alone. Because, let’s face it: life is hard. And especially since the pandemic, the need to send love across the miles is, for lack of a better word, essential.
Why MaryElizabeth?
Inspired by scripture, I have always been drawn to the verses in the Gospel of Luke where Mary, the mother of Jesus, visits her cousin, Elizabeth, after the angel Gabriel announces the coming of Our Lord.¹ Mary goes to Elizabeth to be with her during this incredibly awesome time, and it’s a beautiful scene to imagine between these two women.
These gift boxes grew from a desire to send something special to an expectant mother that wasn’t all about the baby, since anticipating the next chapter of her life is just as important as diapers and burp cloths.
But they’re also more than that.
These gifts are for any woman going through a challenging time, who needs to know that she is loved. To feel encouragement to lean on God’s grace and mercies that are renewed each morning. ² A box could be sent to a woman who just moved to an unfamiliar place and is lonely in her new home. Maybe you know someone going through an especially tough time, and gift-giving is your love language. There is a special bond among women during times of big changes or difficult journeys, and these boxes are a way to share that love, especially when visiting in person isn’t an option.
About Me
Hi, I’m Lynette! Originally from Michigan, I ended up on Long Island with a few stops along the way. I have sent gifts to both family and friends all over the country as I moved from town to town. When I couldn’t be with them in person for either a great achievement or a heartbreaking loss, I wanted them to feel my love with a gift specifically made with them in mind.
